but here have been 2 instances that I know of that edits didn't get published.

No, ploy lite worked, and text edit works most of the time too.

I just tried again with a Text edit, published and those chnages went live.... I think I was trying to copy paste initially which didn't work

Yeah, I used that in the end. The update didn't stick.
