Text replacement changes disappear after publishing
Appended multiline text appears updated in the canvas but remains old on the live site and reverts after a fresh load.
🐛 I've had a couple of time where I have updated text on the canvas using the text replace beta tool, published the site, but the changes haven't updated on the live site.
possible repro:
- Updated text on the canvas using
Text editFooupdated toBar - Published
- Changes weren't live, live site shows
Foobut Ploy canvas still showed the updated text (Bar) - Refreshed the page, and (I think) they were still there in the canvas (
Bar) - Fresh Ploy, they were back to previous state (
Foo) - This was text that was added to the end of the existing sentence, and included 3 new lines of text
- Doesn't seem to happen if it's editing existing text

oh hmmm!! that sounds really odd....
@Mark! as a test... could you use Ploy Lite to do a quick text change.. and see if that helps fixes anything? 🙏
Yeah, I used that in the end. The update didn't stick.
both the inline text AND the AI text change didn't stick?
I just tried again with a Text edit, published and those chnages went live.... I think I was trying to copy paste initially which didn't work
No, ploy lite worked, and text edit works most of the time too.

but here have been 2 instances that I know of that edits didn't get published.
