Will moving our WordPress site to Ploy hurt SEO?
Seeking experiences from others who moved from WordPress or Webflow and want to preserve Google rankings.
Hi there, need some guidance maybe reassurance, we have our old site on wordpress, and built out new one on ploy, and were going to move it into webflow, but im thinking we can do it al lon ploy, we stumbled on Ploy, i just want to be sure if actually go full on ploy we wont regret it, and Seo and google rankings etc will all be ok. Hope someone has debated and gone through this here already

Hi Stephen,
I can confirm that Ploy can be a full on CMS (i.e. replace Wordpress, Webflow, or any other CMS). Ploy can also create new pages without having to migrate from your current Wordpress set up - here's documentation on Reverse Proxy.
Unbiased user here π and Ploy is golden. I migrated from a squarespace site and it's handled all the redirects, and mapped everything out. That first impression you got of Ploy doesn't go anywhere fast, I've been using for 3-4 motnhs now, and it's transforming one of my clients faster than I could have imagined.
I moved from Webflow and I'm building exclusively in Ploy, and made our rankings increase a lot because it's like having 4 of those people that tell you what to do.
@stephen I also debated this, a lot... but I managed to build an admin system for the owner using a gist (I should move this to the Ploy database thinking about it π ). If you have any questions, DM me, I'm happy to show you what results we have after 4 months of usage.
FWIW I worked as an engineer on Webflow for 8 years, but Ploy has literally demolished my need for it any more :shrug:
@Mark this is awesome hear!
@stephen we have a wordpress to ploy case study here: ploy.ai/case-studies/sengo
