Remember publish modal option selections
Deselected options such as production deploy should stay unchanged when the modal is reopened.

Trivial piece of feedback:
Is it possible to keep the selected options in the Publish modal as they are?
If I deselect one (i.e production deploy), the next time I open that modal, I have to deselect it again, every time.

Let me add that to our feature request list. I’ll keep you updated on this. I agree, it can also help avoid issues if we click too quickly while doing something else.
Have you also tried the auto-publish feature? It can save time with your staging.

I don't think I would ever use Auto publish if I'm honest, certainly not in the building stage anyway 😅
